In this year-long (12-month) program, we will learn and practice meditation.
This program is open to anyone who is interested in learning and exploring meditation, even if you are not a yoga teacher. This workshop counts as two (2) modules towards the Janati 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training program.
Ultimately, all paths of Yoga lead to a meditation practice. Ironically, for many (including me!), meditation is one of the more challenging practices to understand and practice.
In this program, we'll learn about the Vedic perspective on the mind, the role of meditation in working with the mind, and we'll explore a variety of meditation techniques. There will also be the opportunity, for those taking this as part of their 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training program, to teach the group (do your teachback).
Pre-requisites: none
Required Reading: none (we'll likely come up with some good books during the program)
Post Module Homework (for those using this as part of their 300-Hour YTT program): a) Practice meditation for 60 days and journal about your experience + b) Guide the group through a meditation experience.
This program is offered online via ZOOM. All the classes will be recorded and posted in the classroom. There is one class per month over 12 months. Classes are on Wednesdays each month from 6:30pm - 8:30pm Eastern Time (Toronto/New York Time Zone). The schedule is:

The tuition is $675 CAD (includes the monthly downloadable pdfs). There is also a payment plan option: a $113 CAD deposit at the time of registration, then 5 additional $113 CAD monthly payments (a payment every 30 days until the full tuition is paid).
